Welcome to Mrs. Ghidotti's Classroom Page!
Classroom Supplies Wish List!- Please visit SeeSaw for an updated Wish List when supplies are needed!
Instead of writing Curriculum Notes on here, I will be posting a picture of our Weekly Objectives poster on Seesaw on Mondays so that you can be in the loop throughout the week instead of after the week is over! From speaking to parents, I have gathered that this is a more efficient way to communicate what is going on in our classroom in regards to curriculum and easier for parents to access!

This is a wonderful way to motivate your child to reading! To order, go to www.scholastic.com/bookclubs. Our Class Activation Code is L3MHG. Happy shopping!Raz-Kids & XtraMathThe login information for Raz-Kids and XtraMath are excellent tools to use at home. If your child forgets their login information and/or password, have them ask me. Please encourage them to use these websites frequently as they are excellent tools to help sharpen math fact fluency and reading fluency!HomeworkHomework packets go home with students on Mondays and should be returned to school on Fridays. Homework comes stapled together in a packet. Please make sure to keep homework as a stapled packet when students turn it in on Fridays. This makes for much easier correcting and fewer lost papers!Working SnackSecond graders enjoy a morning, working snack. Please make sure that the snack you pack for your child is a quick, easy, mess-free and spoon-free snack, as the children will usually be working and eating at the same time. Some ideas are an apple, crackers, pretzels, etc. No juice boxes please! These snacks must be peanut free. Thank you!Water BottlesPlease send your child to school every day with a water bottle labeled with their name. Trips to the water bubbler far down the hallway can be quite disruptive to classroom learning. Thank you for your help!Birthday CelebrationsWe love celebrating birthdays in our classroom! We start our day by making a birthday card for the birthday boy/girl and singing happy birthday to them. If your child would like to pass out a non-food birthday treat to everyone in the class, they may but this is optional. Some suggestions are a pencil, eraser, bookmark, etc. For all of our summer birthdays, they will each choose a day in June when we will celebrate their early birthday!Office RequestIf your child is being a pick-up instead of taking the bus, please send a note to school in your child's backpack with their FIRST and LAST name. Thank you in advance from the office staff!Principal's UpdatePlease remember to check out the "Principal's Update" on the North Street Elementary School webpage. Mr. Wiltshire and Mrs. Mannion always have important news and announcements to share!
