FCL is open to all students who want to be involved in their school and community. The goals of this group are to help young people become leaders, support school activities, interact with the community, and learn lifelong skills such as planning, goal setting, problem solving, decision making and interpersonal communications. Over the past few years the club has been involved in many rewarding activities assisting with service projects including Together We Can Movie Nights, Grafton Celebrates the Holidays, Turkey Trot, Destination Imagination Days, Skate Night, Teens Night Out, Grafton senior citizen luncheons, Hat’s On Day for the Children’s Cancer Foundation, as well as assisting with school events such as the college fairs, parent-teacher conferences, 8th Grade Nigh, EdCamps and the No Stomach for Cancer Walks. In 2016, FCL celebrated their 20th year of helping create Easter Baskets for the Outreach Project at a local church.

FCL is open to all students who want to be involved in their school and community. The goals of this group are to help young people become leaders, support school activities, interact with the community, and learn life skills such as planning, goal setting, problem solving, decision making and interpersonal communications. Over the past few years the club has been involved in many rewarding activities such as sponsoring senior citizen luncheons, coordinating fundraisers and helping with service projects including Grafton Celebrates the Holidays,Destination Imagination Days, Warm Up America, Skate Night, Teens Night Out, Grafton senior citizen luncheons, Hat’s On Day for the Children’s Cancer Foundation, as well as assisting with the college fairs and acting as student guides for various event held at the school. This year, we have also been sewing quilts for Premature Babies at Brigham and Woman's Hospital, knitting and crocheting with the Senior Center for Warm Up America and we have also worked with the Grafton Community Barn during their winter and spring vacation camps. In 2017, FCL will be celebrating their 20th year of providing over 30 Easter Baskets for the Outreach Project at a local church.

FCL meets the during Extended Blocks and sometimes after school.
Our first meeting is tenatively scheduled for Tuesday, September 5 during Extended Block. We will be discussing the Open House which is scheduled for September 12 and College Fair which is October 25 during Extended Block.
We will be collecting colorful Expo Markers and other school supplies. You can drop them off in room C 187 before school or during Extended Block.

If you are interested in joining FCL, use the access code: 2C22M-5FD5X.Warm Up America:FCL is teaming up with the Grafton Senior Center to assemble aftghans for local people in need as well as others across Ameirca. We are asking everyone to knit or crochet some 7x9" rectangle blocks during the months of January and February and drop them off at the GHS Main Office, Grafton Senior Center, Grafton Public Library or Suzi's Fiber Cat.

2016-2017
Sponsored Skate Night Scholarship fundraiser for Claud Lorden and Diane Blessing Scholarships
Provided over 30 Easter Baskets for the children and adults at St. James Parish Outreach
Served as Tour Guides for School-Based Functions such as Open House, Parent Teacher Conferences and College Fair
Prepared, Served Snacks , Act as Hall Guides, Assist with Setting Up and Cleaning Up for 3 Destination Imagination Workshops at the Grafton Middle School (up to 400 DI Coaches and trainers from all over New England)
Coordinated craft activities, served refreshments, etc. throughout Grafton during Grafton Celebrates the Holidays
Made over 15 fleece blankets and prepared baked goods for Abby’s House during the holidays.
Prepared snacks, coordinated the craft activities, helped set up, served and cleaned up Teens Night Out------favorite part of the night was dancing the night away with the participants.
Volunteered at No Stomach for Cancer, Winter and Spring on the Farm Camps, Breast Cancer Walk Turkey Trot and Spring Fun Run
Served as Student Guides, Prepared and served snacks for EdCamp
Assisted with fundraising for school and community functions such as No Stomach for Cancer Walk, Hats On for Cancer and Diane Blessing Scholarships,
Collected and brought over 50 stuffed animals and fleece blankets to the Floating Hospital in Boston.
2014-1016 Events
DI (Destination Imagination) Day Saturday, January 9, 2016: Over 400 Destination Imagination Managers will be attending DI Day at Grafton Middle School. FCL will be assisting with set up and sales,serving refreshments and acting as hall guides throughout the day. The last DI Day is scheduled Saturday, January 30. If you are interested in helping out with that DI Day, please plan to sign up for it at the January FCL meeting on January 12.
Teens Night Out: Friday, January 22, 2016: FCL will be preparing and serving a pasta dinner for over 50 indivuals with developmental delays. The evening is a fun-filled event that FCL members look forward to year after year. After dinner, we will enjoy an evening filled with dancing, socializing and crafts. Please plan to sign up to assist with the dinner preparation, set up, serving and/or socializing. The sign up sheet will be posted soon on Google Classroom.
FCL Member Meeting: Thursday, April 9 2pm in Room C-1872015-2016 FCL Executive Board Elections will be held Thursday, April 9 during the monthly FCL meeting.Please plan to attend. Descriptions of each of the board positions are listed on the FCL google classroom page.
