Mrs. Sue McCullen
Hello and Welcome to Room 3/Mrs. Sue's Preschool Class!
I am excited to partner with new and returning families. I welcome and appreciate on-going parent communication. No question too small! I welcome meetings, phone call conferences, and email messages as needed, so that we may partner in your child's education and overall development.
More info about me:
I am an integrated preschool teacher at North Grafton Elementary School and have been teaching in the G.P.S. District for more than 30 years. My experience includes summer months at a residential center, teaching in an elementary resource room, and grades 1-3, with most of my 30 years happily in preschool. I hold a Master’s Degree in Special Education from Fitchburg State College/University. I am certified in MA in Early Childhood Education, Moderate Special Education, and as Teacher of Young Children with Special Needs. For many years, I have been a member of the MA Down Syndrome Congress Education Task Force, whose vision includes a focus on engagement of all students utilizing current and best educational practice and research. I contributed to the MDSC published manual on Meaningful Inclusion. My passion for teaching includes a particular interest with vocabulary and language acquisition, interactive story read alouds, and STEAM initiatives.
I live with my husband and two young adult daughters and love family time! Our family has added a new member, our labrador retriever puppy, Otter! I love attending weekly Latin Fitness/Zumba and tap dance classes, as well as, daily dessert & (chocolate) snack time!
