Degrees and Certifications:
My name is Nicole Karns and I am a School Adjustment Counselor and Clinical Coordinator at Grafton High School. Before landing in Grafton, I spent five years as School Counselor at a private school in Worcester and prior to that I provided individual and group therapy to at-risk students in multiple schools in Massachusetts. I have a Masters of Education in School Counseling from Seattle University, where I received strong education and training in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Strength-Based Counseling, both of which I incorporate when providing counseling to students. I am passionate about providing students with a safe and supportive environment where they feel comfortable discussing their challenges and working collaboratively to create interventions for student success. I am committed to supporting the mental health and well being of all students as they develop into productive members of the community. Beyond the School Counseling role, I enjoy running, hiking, horseback riding, skiing and spending time with my family. I love exploring students' hobbies and passions with them and incorporating their interests into their overall wellness to promote a healthy and active lifestyle.
