Degrees and Certifications:
Mr. Thomas Gamache
This is my seventh year in Grafton and I have been an educator in the classroom for 10 years, 11th beginning this school year.
I am incredibly proud of the success my students had last year! On the 2019 AP Statistics exam, 97% of my students passed and 86% had scores qualifying for college credit with nearly half of the students achieiving 5's. I was the proud recipient of 2017 Mass Insight Partners in Excellence Award along with my department head, Jennifer Durost! Mass Insight has also entrusted me to present at regional workshops for students throughout the state. I also had a great year ushering in the Integrated Mathematics curriculum with my fellow department members. I look forward to building off of that success.
My Algebra and Integrated Mathematic students put in a great effort, as well, carrying with them essential skills for not only the next year, but for their future careers. I look forward to a new year!
I am a graduate of Berklee College of Music, as well as attending Providence College. I am also a graduate of the Poincare Mathematics Institute at Tufts University. I have experience in retail, land surveying, music as a performer and sound engineer, and giving me an array of real-life experience utlizing mathematics in the real world. I have spent my life in Blackstone Valley and I'm grateful for a chance to teach in here.
I am excited for my third year at the high school. I will be teaching the following courses:
* Algebra/Geometry 1 Level 2
* A.P. Data and Statistics
* CP Statistics
Extra Help: I am also consistently available each day until 2:20. I am also available later one day per week, as well as extended blocks. If a student plans on staying, they need to let me know at least one school day in advance (ex. I need to know Tuesday by 2 PM if a student plans on staying Wednesday afternoon). This enable me to prepare, especially if I have multiple students staying.
I have a YouTube channel that include tutorials and lessons for both Statistics and Integrated Mathematics, https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCG7e13R9kzvSsvypqxDdDyA. I look forward to continuing to build this as a resource for students and families.
If you have any questions throughout the year, please don't hesitate to e-mail me at email@example.com
