Degrees and Certifications:
Greetings! I am happy to be joining Grafton High School as a second school adjustment counselor. I help students learn certain types of skill sets like self-regulation and coping, self-advocacy and assertiveness, communication, organization and planning, problem solving, academic and studying, to name a few. I also help students learn about emotions and how to cope with them. I am a believer in life long learning, and through my role of counselor, strive to inspire in others a love of learning and continuous inquiry about our self, the world around us and the relationships in which we are enfolded. I have worked with youth for over 15 years and before becoming a school counselor, worked as a teacher in a therapeutic school setting. When I am not working, I enjoy being outdoors doing activities like gardening, bike riding, paddle boarding, skiing, walking my husky, or just lying on my hammock reading a good book. I also practice yoga and mindful meditation which I incorporate into my counseling.
