IA/BLA Paycheck Summary

  • At the end of the 2017-18 school year, support staff voted to change the way they are paid so they have a consistent check throughout the year.  You will receive a breakdown specific to you next week. However, below is a general explanation of how the pay works.

There are 22 pay periods in the 2018-19 school year.   Your first check will be on 9/6/2018 and will be for days actually worked 8/28/18-8/30/18.  The balance of your total hours will be divided among 21 pay periods. Your last check will be on 6/27/2019.  Your school year pay is broken down as follows:

    1150.5 total hours/21 pay periods= 54.79 hours/pay

If you are hired after the school year starts, the process to determine your pay is the same, however the number of days you will work and the number of pay periods will differ.  Please refer to your spreadsheet to determine the number of days and pay periods.

The benefit of this pay system is realized when we do not have full weeks of school and/or we have snow days.  Please refer to the chart below to see this benefit.
