Overview

  • Thanks to an application submitted by technology integration specialist, Cyndy Engvall, Grafton High School was selected to participate in the Google Expedition’s Pioneer Program.

On March 1, 2016 students and faculty at Grafton High School were able to experience Google’s new virtual reality field trips called Google Expeditions.  With the assistance of Google staff member Matt Murphy, students visited ancient ruins in Mexico, explored the Galapagos Islands, toured historic locations of World War II, and investigated various plant adaptations in the rainforests of Borneo. Google Expeditions are “comprised of virtual reality panoramas and are led by a guide or teacher”.

Students participate in the expeditions using a Google Cardboard and smartphone.
